A celebration of what God accomplished at the Wonderful Cross
The events of this world are not random. God is at work, right in the middle of the chaos of our existence. The death of Christ on the cross was an essential part of God's plan to restore this broken world to what it was intended to be.
Watch the service here, and join us as we celebrate the Lord's Supper.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. And treat others the way they have treated you. That's the Golden Rule. In David part 3 we find out that God's plan is to take us above our natural response to life and move us into the supernatural: the realm of Godly behavior. Every time someone hurts you, you have an opportunity to let them experience God's Grace, by blessing them instead of the revenge they would normally expect.
In part 2 of David, Pastor Dave talks about the killer giants that David had to kill. Those 3 giants were isolation, anger and fear. Sometimes we forget that God has our backs. David knew God had plans for him. But he didn't trust God to make them happen.
We have started a new series called David! Pastor Dave says that as humans, we tend to place our hope in who and what we think we can we depend on. But that's not God's plan. He wants us to depend on him. We see through David's story that by having complete faith in God, we can eliminate the fear in our lives.
The Church is a community where people are connected to each other, caring for each other, and living life together. Jesus has mandated two ordinances for the church to observe and that Baptism and The Lord's Supper. Pastor Dave digs deeper in part 3 of The Church.
Guest speaker Aaron Seeger explains that the unity of our Church is so important. Christ has granted us all with a special gift so that we may use them in perfect harmony. It's our responsibility to build up the Church and to bless others with those gifts.
Today we started a new series on what "The Church" means. In the bible, "Church" never refers to a building or a place. It always refers to the people who assemble. We do not just "come to church." We are the Church. By being united as The Church we can overcome the reality of spiritual warfare. God's purposeĀ° was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:10
