Abraham and Sarah

God accomplishes the first steps in his plan to heal this broken world. He chooses one man to get things rolling and makes several specific promises about what the future holds. One promise is that all the families of the world would be blessed through that one man. That includes you! Watch the service to hear the story.

For centuries, Christians have celebrated Advent, a time of anticipation, looking back to the centuries Israel waited for God to fulfil his promise of a Messiah. Traditionally, Advent has focused on four themes, Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love, which were fulfilled by the arrival of the child born in Bethlehem. On this Christmas Sunday, we examine those four elements and the difference they can make in our lives today.

How can we deal with dark situations that enter our lives, filling us with fear, anxiety, uncertainty? How does the Light of the World affect the disasters in life that we have to deal with, whether they're health issues or relational issues or financial issues. Did you know that Mary, the mother of Jesus, struggled with that too? She drew strength by remembering all that God had done in her life, and while we may not see angels, we can still see the hand of God at work in our lives. Join us as we learn more about the Light of the World.

Which of those characters are your favorites? Which can you relate too? Check out today's service to take a closer look at the heros and the villain of the Christmas Story.

Christmas.
Don't you love the songs?
"Tis the season to be stressed out..." or "Dashing through the store, they don't have what I need..."

It's not always "the most wonderful time of the year." But it can be, if we stop focusing on what is happening and focus instead on what has already happened - the Light of the World has arrived, and the darkness that can overwhelm our lives doesn't stand a chance. That's good news!
