(Had to struggle through some issues, but the service is uploading now and will be available at 4 pm.)
Join us as we look at the path that led David to the throne of Israel, and the character he developed along the way; qualities that made him "a man after God's own heart."
Also, small groups start this week via the Zoom app. If you're interested in being part of a small group, please call the office at 760-243-4396, or send an email to questions@gbcsl.com.
Click here to get a copy of the discussion questions for this week. When you print, choose the option for "print on both sides of paper" and "Flip on short edge." (I think)
That will give you two copies of the discussion questions.
A review of the first 3 parts of our series on King David, Israel's greatest king.
Church at Home - May 3rd, 2020
David - the Bible calls him a man after God's own heart. Yet David made some serious mistakes in his life. How can a man with serious flaws be called a man after God's own heart. Listen in to the service as we sing some songs of praise, celebrate the Lord's Supper, and dig into some details of David's life.
Fear can be a very destructive force. Generally, the fear we experience comes from a lack of trust in God. When the disciples were afraid, Jesus asked, "Where is your faith?"
But not all fear is wrong. In fact, God has told us that we should fear Him. But what does that mean? Why should we fear a loving God?
There are two very good reasons that make perfect sense when we stop to consider who God really is.
All of us struggle with fear from time to time, but as Christians, we don't have to live in fear, because we can choose to live in faith.
This is especially important in light of the Corona Virus situation. We can all use a reminder of something far greater than the virus - God's promise to us.
Join us and the Grace BIble Church praise team as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, and consider the evidence for whether it really happened, and what it means to us today.
The service will be streaming at 10 AM on Easter Sunday, April 12.
A celebration of what God accomplished at the Wonderful Cross
The events of this world are not random. God is at work, right in the middle of the chaos of our existence. The death of Christ on the cross was an essential part of God's plan to restore this broken world to what it was intended to be.
Watch the service here, and join us as we celebrate the Lord's Supper.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. And treat others the way they have treated you. That's the Golden Rule. In David part 3 we find out that God's plan is to take us above our natural response to life and move us into the supernatural: the realm of Godly behavior. Every time someone hurts you, you have an opportunity to let them experience God's Grace, by blessing them instead of the revenge they would normally expect.
