In part 29 of our series on the book of Acts, the Apostle Paul leaves Corinth, passes through Ephesus and heads for Antioch, which serves as a home base. After some time in Antioch, he heads off to visit churches he had started in the province of Galatia, with the goal of strengthening the believers. But he is unsettled and insecure to the point that Jesus has to assure him that he can speak up without fear. We look at why sharing the gospel can be such a frightening thing for many Christians, and how we can get past that to accomplish our mission.

Today we celebrate Baptism, for the second week in a row! Another group of people will make a public statement of their intent to follow Jesus, and we will spend some time digging into the question of why people, Christians included, sometimes get more excited about meeting a celebrity than drawing closer to Jesus. If anyone should be a celebrity, you'd think Jesus would qualify. So why are we often so lacking in passion and excitement about him?
