Pastor Dave spoke about how often, people who become Christians do so because they see something different, something they want, in the lives of their believing friends. Attending church is great way to learn, grow spiritually and to connect with fellow believers. Jesus said that those who are faithful in small things will be given authority over great things in God's kingdom.

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:17

In part 4 of Address the Mess Pastor Dave talks about how God loves and accepts us as we are, but he loves us too much to leave us as we are. He encrourages us to take the next steps towards surrending to God, which is an on going process, as we mature, we get better at it. Ultimately God is not trying to get us cleaned up, he wants us to get us grown up.

Scriptures: Philippians 1:3-11

In week 3 Pastor Dave explains that following Jesus will help you avoid trouble in life. But staying out of trouble is not enough to give us a fulfilling life. We need to seek the tools that will help us to transform our lives, God says "Let me change who you are, and that will change what you do."

Scriptures: Romans 3:19-23

Everyone faces messes in life, but not everyone knows they can lead us to God.  In part 1 of this series, Pastor Dave helps us see that our messes are the lenses through which we discover God, and reminds us that the core belief of Christianity is that God has reached out to us because He sees our mess, and wants us to know He is there to clean it up for us.

BIll Katz, of "Hope for Israel," leads us through some of the ways God revealed his plan through the events of the Old Testament, especially Passover.  Listen in as Bill reveals the amazing parallels between the original passover, as the nation of Israel was released from slavery in Egypt, and how that prophetic event was fulfilled when Christ died on the cross.  We also look at the profound way God combined the human and the divine in the ceremony of the Lord's Supper.

Jesus teaches about counting the cost of being a disciple.  It's summed up in the phrase "Pick up your cross and follw me."  But what does that mean in our 21st Century American Society?  How are we supposed to prioritize the details of life in our world?  Jesus sums it up in another simple, but profound phrase.  Listen in for the details!

Jesus uses a parable to teach about how we must not forget the poor and marginalized in society.  He also addresses those who miss God's kingdom because they allow themselves to be distracted by the issues and concerns of daily life.
