Church at Home - July 19

Is the Bible relevant to our lives today? After all, it was written thousands of years ago. Join us as we take a look at Psalm 91, written 3000 years ago, telling us what God has to say about dealing with the challenges of life, including deadly disease and opposition from other people. Sneak preview - God promises to care for his people, regardless of the challenges life brings.

Today we join Dave and Julie and a special guest at Pathway Church in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.

Pastor Dave will encourage us with a look at the 23rd Psalm. You know this passage: "the Lord is my shepherd..."

These ancient words take on new power as we view them in light of everything going on in the world today. Also, Julie (and the surprise guest) will lead us in worship.

When will the church open?

The world is in chaos. The news of this past week has been horrendous: police brutality, rioting in the streets, keyboard warriors doing battle on social media, and the ever-present threat of a new COVID-19 breakout. And the churches are still closed. Or are they?

Join us as we take a look at what it means to be the Church. Find you place in the only possible hope for this dark and broken world.

The service starts at 10 AM May 31st.

The last message in our series on King David

The consequences of David's  adultery with Bathsheba and the subsequent murder of her husband Uriah hit full-force.  But even though David must feel like God has abandoned him, he does not abandon God - his faith stays strong, and in the end, God saevs David from the throne-seeking actions of his own son.

Join us as we see God show his love and faithfulness to a king, lost in his own mistakes.

Also, we give an update on our plans for reopening.

Because of his own actions, a sword cuts deeply into David's family.

One mistake can lead to consequences we could never imagine.  This is clearly illustrated in the events that lead to the saddest chapters in King David's life.

While God forgave David for his sin, the consequences of his actions were devastating.

As we see David's family life spiral out of control, we can learn how to protect our own.
